Is It Practical?

The Aeron ergonomic chair uses something called PostureFit — Herman Miller technology which provides natural, custom-fitted lower-back support below your waist for healthier posture and great lower back comfort. It’s got quite a high back which really helps to take the weight off the lower spine. Wide arm rests make it very easy on the arms, and a sloping front edge to the chair keeps the pressure off the legs and prevents any restriction of your circulation.
As you’d expect from a Herman Miller chair the suspension is excellent, distributing weight evenly across the whole seat. The much imitated mesh effect of the chair back allows air to breathe through it keeping you cool and comfortable.
The whole chair has a great tilt mechanism which allows you to move naturally and effortlessly between forward leaning and reclining, with the backrest and seat moving together for proper support in all positions.
We like the Aeron chair and give it a strong recommendation. It’s been designed after extensive research, and for once, you can tell. I have no problem believing it was tested for comfort with dozens of users, and that it was pitted against the best work chairs available. This chair really does live up to it’s reputation.
By the way, you might not realize but the Herman Miller Aeron chair is largely made of recycled materials. How good is that? So it’s designed to last a long time but with minimal impact on the environment, and the parts that get the most wear are easily replaced and recycled.
So what does all this cost?
Well, a full price Herman Miller Aeron chair will go for around $1000, but you definitely need to shop around because bargains can be had. If you can get one for $700 you’re doing well, and if you’re really lucky, you might end up paying about half the retail cost. In any event, it’s going to be worth it. These Aeron chairs give fantastic value.

It took me a while to shell out the cash for one, but I wish I’d done it sooner.

I bought one classic full feature aeron and one executive aeron. Being located in SouthEast Asia I’m very unfortunate having to pay my aeron USD$1441, and USD$1903 respectively.
Despite the high price, the Aeron chairs are top notch. It’s the most comfortable chair I have ever sat on. Without hesitation, I recommend this chair to anyone looking for the best ergonomic chair available. Not to mention, attractive prices are being offered in The US.
